John 11:21-27 (NET)
Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will grant you."
Jesus replied, "Your brother will come back to life again."
Martha said, "I know that he will come back to life again in the resurrection at the last day."
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies, and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
She replied, "Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world."
Just a few verses later, Jesus commands Lazarus to “Come Out” of the tomb, and of course, he does. His hands and feet were bound with grave clothes.
Jesus says in verse 44, “Unwrap him and let him go.”
What a promise! Resurrection and Life! Spring reminds me of Easter, the time that we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and the promise of eternal life in him.
I love the picture I chose for this issue. It screams HOPE and Resurrection Life. Can you hear him saying, “Come Out” of the tomb so I can unwrap you and set you free?
