New Wine
Brooke Ligertwood

“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins; otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins will be destroyed. Instead new wine is poured into new wineskins.” Mark 2:22
Ripe grapes are crushed and the juice pressed out of them to create wine. It’s in the crushing and pressing that the transformation takes place into juice that is then placed into containers and allowed to ferment.
During the fermentation process, the juice “increases” and stretches the wineskin as needed. An old wineskin would simply break open because it was already stretched to its maximum capacity.
Only Jesus can pour NEW WINE into us without us breaking open. Only He knows how much pressure and stretching we can handle. That’s why we yield to HIS careful hand.
In the crushing
In the pressing
You are making new wine
In the soil
I now surrender
You are breaking new ground
So I yield to You into Your careful hand
When I trust You I don't need to understand
Make me Your vessel
Make me an offering
Make me whatever You want me to be
I came here with nothing
But all You have given me
Jesus bring new wine out of me
'Cause where there is new wine
There is new power
There is new freedom
And the Kingdom is here
I lay down my old flames
To carry Your new fire today
It means we're getting back on the altar.
We're saying we surrender everything, Lord
Jesus bring new wine out of me
