But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5 NKJV
What does fullness of time mean? The New English Translation puts it this way;
But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights.
Have you ever wondered what made that time the appropriate time? I have. I’ve researched it through the Hebrew language and used the concordanced and the whole nine yards to answer this question.
Here is what I found in all of my research – It was chosen by God to be the exact right time. As crazy as it sounds it is just that simple. God is sovereign and we will never fully know why that point in history was the right time, it's an enigma..
This is just like no one knows the day or hour that Jesus will return for those who are his true followers (Matt 25:13).
But take heart – He is coming back in the Fullness of Time.
