Hi-Jacked!
I’ve been talking to young people about their generation and pornography. What I’ve discovered is that because of the wide availability of the internet, pornography is rampant among them and acceptable!
Their innocence has been hi-jacked!
Back in the 1990’s while working for a church, we had the internet installed. I distinctly remember looking up Disney and mistakenly entered Dinsey .com– it is a heinous porn site. This is no accident!
The porn industry has targeted our youngest and most vulnerable. I know of first graders who followed an innocent link and stumbled upon a porn site, they are now addicted.
The gaming and video industry is well aware of this. Just one look and Satan will use the strong, demonic pull to hi-jack their sexuality.
Those of us raised pre-internet know how destructive porn is, but for those born with the internet as an everyday tool, it’s no big deal. That’s what they think because it is so prolific today.
I am angry about this. I’m angry at the industry for not coming up with adequate ways to block porn but still allow viable searches. I’m angry at parents for not keeping a better watch on what their kids are viewing (myself included). I’m angry at People for targeting innocent children!
What is the answer? Proverbs 22:5-6 says
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Pray over our children, and if you’re a parent, actively monitor their time on the internet.
It’s that important.
