Heal my heart and make it clean

Open up my eyes to the things unseen

My heart wants to be closer to Jesus. I want to hear His heartbeat and get mine in cadence with His. How do I do this?

It’s a daily commitment. Often, I face too many distractions that I don’t push aside. Why don’t I?

Because life happens!

In Romans 7:15, Paul says, " For I don't understand what I am doing. For I do not do what I want - instead, I do what I hate. (NET)

Jesus often got away to be alone and pray. Could this be why? His God nature fighting against his sinful nature. Perhaps this is how He remained sinless.

So it seems I am in good company in this struggle, BUT I must do what Jesus did and spend more time with God, in His Word, and in His presence. Then maybe my heart will be healed, and I will be like Jesus.

This is my prayer and my all-in pursuit.

Jesus, Heal my heart and make it clean, open up my eyes to the things unseen, show me how to love like You have loved me.

Break my heart for what breaks yours, everything I am for your kingdom’s cause, as I walk from Earth into eternity!
